Pluots are noted for their sweetness and intense flavor. Not many people are familiar with pluots, it is a cross between a plum and an apricot. The fruit’s exterior closely resembles a plum and some people call them Dinosaur Eggs. The pluot was developed by Floyd Zaiger in the 1980’s. You can use pluots in any recipe that calls for plums.
