Cucumbers

Cucumbers have a crisp, refreshing taste that comes from their high water content. On a hot summer day, the inside of a garden cucumber can be 20 degrees cooler than air temperature since they are 95% water. Sliced cucumbers can be added to salads and sandwiches, while shredded cucumbers can be used in dips and as a garnish to main dishes.
